Port Blair, Jan 13: A two metre long dead female Crocodile was found this morning on the rocky beds of North Wandoor area by villagers. The actual reason behind this death is not known yet but authorities are reportedly trying to investigate the cause of death.
As per details after sighting of the dead Crocodile villagers informed the matter to Forest Department after which Forest Team and Veterinary Team reached the spot and inspected the dead Crocodile, which was reportedly tangled in fishing net.
Sources told Andaman Sheekha Daily that during post mortem, the Veterinary team found multiple injuries on the body of the Crocodile, which somewhere indicate towards intentional killing. The Wildlife Department has reportedly registered a case and further details are awaited.
