Port Blair, Jan. 6:The Department related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education, Women, Children, Youth and Sports headed by its Chairman, ShriVivek Thakur held meeting with the UT Officials on the issue of Teacher Education Strategies and capacity building of Teacher in light of NEP 2020 directives and also on the issue of promoting Rural, Tribal and Adventure Sports especially those featuring in Commonwealth / Asian Olympic Games at Swaraj Dweeptoday.The other Members of the Committee present in the meeting were S/ShriGhanshyamTiwari, SadashivKishenLokhande, Asit Kumar Mal, Chandreshwar Prasad, JagannathSarkar and Dharambir Singh.The Secretary (IT/Agri./E&F), ShriPankaj Kumar along with other officials of A&N Administration attended the meeting.
Earlier, the Committee interacted with officials of Tagore Government College of Education Port Blair on the issue of Teachers training in light of NEP 2020 directives.
