Port Blair, Jan 04: Mr. Sunder (Name Changed), 83 years, a retired APWD Carpenter and a resident of Dundas Point reached Chouldari on 01.01.2023 along with his wife to visit his daughter’s house for New Year.
On 02.01.2023 at around 1100 hrs he left the house by saying his wife that he will return back in a moment but by 03.00 PM, when he did not return, his family members got worried and started to look for him in nearby areas. The matter was then reported to PS Ograbraj in the late evening hours after which police and public intensified the search for the missing person.
Witnesses informed that the police team conducted the search operation all night. Later, early morning on 03.01.2023 a police team was successful in finding Mr. Sunder (Name Changed), who lost his way and was found lying in a muddy drain and was barely speaking. He was immediately rescued and taken to PHC Chouldari for further treatment. General public appreciated the timely action and well organized efforts of the Police.
