Port Blair, Dec 13: Two students of Government Model Senior Secondary School sustained serious injuries, when they lost control over their moped and smashed a Wagon R vehicle, infront of Axis Bank, Middle Point, this morning.
According to the police sources, both the students are now out of danger but are still in G B Pant Hospital.
According to eyewitnesses, one of the student was driving the moped in a dangerous manner and showing stunts while overtaking other vehicles. “Because of their reckless driving the boy failed to negotiate with the Car and smashed head-on. The boy as well as the pillion rider sustained serious injuries,” said an eye witness.
Both the injured students, who were in school uniform, where immediately rushed to the G B Pant Hospital by people. Further inquiry is going on in this regard. However, confirmed report is still awaited. “The matter is still not clear,” was the reply from PS Aberdeen.
