Port Blair, Dec 06: The Pradesh Congress Committee today organised Chakka Jams at various places of Middle and North Andaman such as Baratang, Rangat, Mayabunder, Diglipur etc to press four major demands, which are early completion of NH4, 100 percent job reservation for Islanders, Opening of Quarries in North and Middle Andaman and allotment of funds for PRIs.
PCC President, Mr. Rangalal Halder led the protest at Mayabunder while Mr. G Bhasker, Chairman Campaign committee led the protest at Diglipur.
During the Protest at Mayabunder, the Assistant Commissioner and other officials of District Administration reached the spot and tried to convince the protester. Mr.Rangallal Halder, President PCC demanded to solve theseissues as early as possible or else he said that the Congress party will organise even bigger protests across Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
