Port Blair, Nov 14: On the occasion of Children’s Day, the District Child Protection Unit South Andaman organized a Picnic for all the children of Child Care Institutions at the Corbyn’s Cove Beach, the very famous tourism destination at Port Blair.
The children enjoyed the picturesque view of the beach, played games like badminton, passed the ball and performed dances. An Inter CCI fun Kabaddi Match was organised at the beach side wherein all the CCI participated with great enthusiasm followed by lunch for all. One-day outing culminated with the open dance floor by children.
Taking the children out of the Institutions and giving them an exposure into a new environment with other children help them to appreciate natural surroundings, enhance personal and social communication skills, and improve general behaviour and mental health.
District Administration always ensures to organize or provide every possible opportunity for children of CCIs in order to make the children feel that they are important and are being cared for, for their overall well development.
