
Port Blair, Nov. 1: In line with the vision and efforts of Government of India, Health Department and National Health Mission in Andaman & Nicobar Islands is committed to ensure availability of sufficient human resources for providing quality health services to the people of the Islands.
Accordingly, to achieve the goal of the National Health Mission to improve the quality of the health care services in these Islands, 16 Offer Letters were issued to the aspiring doctors and paramedical staff for joining the Health Services of Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
The letters were handed over by Ms. Nandini Paliwal, IAS, Commissioner-cum-Secretary (Health), A&N Administration in a function organized at the Secretariat of A&N Administration in the presence of Shri Arjun Sharma, IAS, Secretary (Health), Dr. Anil Agarwal, Mission Director (NHM) and DHS & other officials to the willing and available candidates.
While addressing the gathering, the Commissioner-cum-Secretary (Health), A&N Administration emphasized the importance of taking care of the people and wished all the health professionals a fulfilling and a satisfying career.
Under the National Health Mission in Andaman & Nicobar Islands, efforts are being made to provide accessible, affordable, effective, accountable and reliable health care to all including the poorer and vulnerable sections of the society.
