Port Blair, Oct 31: Islands’ young Chess player R Kashthuri Bhai, a class VIII student of GDMS Middle point, Port Blair shines in an international FIDE Rapid Rating Chess Tournament 2022 that was held at Jerusalem College of Engineering, Chennai, Tamil Nadu from 29th to 30thOctober 2022. She played brilliantly and secured second position in the Under 14 Girls category and was awarded with a trophy and certificate.
More than 350 players from India and abroad participated in the tournament that was held in rapid format for two days over 9 rounds.
