Port Blair, Oct 27: A Truck accident was reported at Sippighat area in the morning hours today.
As per the information, a truck carrying rice and wheat from SCI Civil Supply department, was going towards Wandoor from Dollygunj where the loaded truck drifted on the road due to its front tyre burst and finally the truck tilted completely towards another side. The incident took place at around 10.30AM.
The police team reached the spot and promptly swung into action; the police jawans in coordination with the staff Civil Supply Department rescued the truck with the help of a crane.
As per information, the truck driver escaped with minor injuries and no other casualties were reported.
