Port Blair, Oct 23: WITH YOU (NGO) organized a program at Community hallFerrargunj to felicitate the sanitation workers of various Gram panchayatsunder Ferrargunj Tehsil for winning the National award- 1st position underSwachh Sarvekshan Grameen 2022. Mrs. Nandini Paliwal, IAS, Commissionercum Secretary (RD,/PRI) graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The programstarted with lightening of lamp by Chief Guest and other guest followed bywelcome song presented by students of Govt Model Senior Secondary School,Ferrargunj. Miss V.K. Mariyam bibi, President WITH YOU (NGO) welcomed theChief Guest with a Shawl and bouquet. Addressing the gathering, shecongratulated the A&N Administration, PRIs and sanitation workers forreceiving the National award for A&N Islands. She expressed her gratitudetowards all and said that such awards boost the spirit of the worker’s andPRIs. Mr. Mohammed safique, Pradhan Mithakhari also spoke on the occasionand appreciated the efforts of WITH YOU and also requested theCommissioner cum Secretary to provide more sanitation workers invarious Gram Panchayats. Later, the Chief Guest felicitated the sanitationworkers along with their Pradhans by presenting gifts to all of them.Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest appreciated the sanitationworkers and PRIs for their dedication towards cleanliness of the respectivearea. She further informed that A&N Administration will extend all supportto the Gram Panchayats to ensure proper sanitation and requested thegeneral public also to co-operate the Administration in this regard. Shefurther appreciated WITH YOU for taking the initiative to felicitate theworkers of various Gram Panchayats. She also exhorted support of everyindividual for maintaining the ranking of National award in future also. Amemento was presented to the Chief Guest by the President, WITH YOU. Theprogram concluded with Vote of thanks proposed by Meena, Member of WITH YOU.
