Port Blair, Dec 10: Representatives of civilian residents of Sri Nagar area of Minnie Bay met the Chairperson of Port Blair Municipal Council on 10th Dec, 2012 in his Chamber and discussed various burning problems. They emphasized the need for improvement of water supply and sanitation in the area urgently.
They narrated the problem being faced by them especially office going persons and school children due to non ply of adequate number of buses between terminus to Minnie Bay via Goalghar, on which the Chairperson assured the representatives that he will take up the matter with the Director of Transport.
For improvement of water supply and Sanitation the Chairperson directed the officers concerned to take appropriate action immediately. The request of the representatives for visiting the area was accepted by the Chairperson.
