Port Blair, Oct 04: Ace Cyclist of A&N Islands, David Beckham won gold medaltoday. With this, A&N Islands has won three more medals in the ongoing 36thNational Games-2022 at Gujarat/New Delhi taking the medals tally won so far to 9.
Apart from David Beckham, cyclists of International repute, EsowAlben and Deborah have also won one silver medal each in keirin event.
Meanwhile, the Secretary (Sports) and Director (Sports) have congratulated the cycling team for their medal winning performance. The A&N Islands contingent is participating in events such as Cycling, Canoeing, Kayaking, Rowing and Athletics. The National Games,comprises various disciplines in which athletes fromdifferent States of India compete against each other started on Sept. 29, will continue upto October 12.
