Mayabunder, Sept 28: Mr.JimutBahan Biswas, Hon’ble Additional Sessions Judge, North & Middle Andaman District, Mayabunder has convicted one accused namely Nil Ratan Mridha R/o Jaipur under PS Billiground on 27/09/2022 for committing gruesome murder of his wife in a daylight and Hon’ble Judge has sent him to judicial custody for reflection of mind for hearing of quantum of sentence. On 28/09/2022, after hearing the convict as well as defense and prosecution side on length, Hon’ble Judge has sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for life, which shall mean imprisonment for the reminder of that person’s natural life, for the offence punishable under section 302 of Indian Penal Code.
On that fateful day on 06/03/2021 at about 10:30 AM, in his house accused has committed murder by intentionally causing the death of his wife Late Suchitra Mridha by stabbing by means of a sharp cutting weapon (daw).
The Hon’ble Court hopefully observed that the Investigation conducted by the Investigating Officer is totally industrious and painstaking and there is no way to say that it was perfunctory and for his real dedication to the effectual investigation the actual culprit was apprehended and put behind bar finally.
This day-light gruesome murder case was registered on the basis of fardbayan of Mr. Shankar Mondal as FIR No. 14 of 2021, dated 06/03/2021 of PS Billiground which was investigated by Sub- Inspector Madhab Halder, SHO, PS Billiground and the entire prosecution case was conducted by Mr.UttamKirtonia, Learned Additional Public Prosecutor, North & Middle Andaman District, Mayabunder.
