Port Blair, Sept 23: SDPO, Swaraj Dweep, Sub-Division accompanied by the other policeofficers during hisinteraction with tourists at Radhanagar beach highlighted about thefacilities available for the tourist at the beach, importance of beach cleanliness, tourist lifeguards available at beach, avoid drinkdriving and grievance redressal mechanism available for tourist. Healso informed the tourist about the tourist facilitation booth at thebeach and in case of any emergency dial 100 number. He also requestedtourists to give suggestions for the safety of tourists.
The officials also inspected the beach area to check any untoward activity, the purpose of this public outreach was to understand issuesfaced by tourists and also provide a platform for more such regularinteractions.
The aim was to facilitate tourism while ensuring peace and safety for thecommunity.
