Port Blair, Sep 20: Ms. V. K. Mariyam Bibi, Zilla Parishad member, Bambooflat and Pradhan Hopetown met Mrs. Veditha Reddy, Secretary, Education in her chamber on 19th September 2022. They informed the Secretary that there is a long pending demand for a school auditorium and playground at GSSS Bambooflat which was approved in various PTA and Gram Sabha meetings.
They also requested for maintenance of school furniture and buildings which are in dilapidated condition. Further, they suggested that in addition to the mid-day meal, a provision for light refreshments may be made for the students before the commencement of the classes as it is observed that most of them are usually coming to school without proper breakfast.
The Secretary welcomed the suggestion and assured that she will definitely try to explore the possibilities.
