Port Blair, Sep 14: In continuation of the several month long agitation against the administration and Dr. B R Ambedkar Institution of Technology, the students of DBRAIT organized a protest this afternoon in front of the Secretariat gate and demanded to resolve all the demands regarding affiliation immediately.
Around 150 students were present during the strike with the constant support of ABVP members of the A&N Islands. Till the last report poured in, no officials from the administration have come out to talk to the protesting students.
The students are still demanding fulfilment of all the 17 conditions of Pondicherry University by DBRAIT. Students are also demanding the termination of Dr.Utpal Sharma from the post of principal DBRAIT.
Talking to the media Mr. P. Sagar, a student of DBRAIT said that the students will continue the protest until all their demands are fulfilled and will fight for justice as it is a matter of their future. As per reports received till 9.30 PM students were planning to continue protest throughout the night.
Many parents who gathered at Secretariat to support the students also expressed their serious concerns on this issue and urged Administration to act immediately to save the future of Andaman Students.
