Port Blair, Sep 09: The Ministry of Minority Affairs implements three Scholarships Schemes viz, Pre-Matric, Post-Matric and Merit-cum-Means based Scholarship schemes for the Minority as Central Sector Schemes through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) of the Government of India.
The scholarships awarded under these schemes to the economically weaker and meritorious students from the six centrally notified minority communities vis. Buddhist, Christian, Jain, Muslim, Sikh and Zoroastrian (Parsi) pursuing students in India in a Government or recognized private university/Institute/College/School. The economically weaker and meritorious learners of the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), belonging to these categories can avail benefit of these schemes.
The learners can apply under these schemes through the website www.scholarships.gov.in or through the link available on www.minorityaffairs.gov.in. The last date for submission of the online application form for Pre-Matric Scholarship schemes is 30th September 2022 and for Post- Matric /Top-class/MCM scholarship scheme is 31st October 2022.
