On the auspicious occasion of Onam’, I extend my heartiest greetings and warm wishes to all the residents of A&N Islands.
This festival of harvest is celebrated with traditional gaiety & enthusiasm throughout the Islands. Onam rekindles the splendid legacy of a life of equality, oneness and prosperity. Celebration of this festival will further strengthen mutual brotherhood and religious harmony prevailing in the Islands.
I would like to appeal to the Islanders to celebrate the festival while adhering to COVID-appropriate behaviour and participate in the COVID vaccination drive. Adolescents are also urged to get vaccinated at the earliest and stay safe and healthy.
On this auspicious occasion, I wish that ‘Onam’ brings prosperity and happiness in the life of every Islander and that our Islands keep marching ahead continuously on the path of progress.
