When Andaman Sheekha Daily contacted a senior officer of Health Department he said that on 28th August 2022 a stock of 60,000 doses was received from Kolkata and special delivery vans were also provided to deliver the vaccines to the centres further the vaccination centres were directed to plan the schedule accordingly.
But, he added that some vaccination centres were closed before the vaccine delivery and moreover, the head of the vaccination centre and staff couldn’t be contacted by any means and the delivery staff were not able to deliver the vaccinations on time.
