Port Blair, Aug 26: A theft case was reported from the Bhathu Basti area on 24th August 2022 as valuable were stolen from a rented house near St. Mary’s School, Bhatu Basti.
As per information, recently a family rented a house in the Bhathu Basti area near St. Mary’s School and on 23rd August 2022 they shifted some household items to the new place but didn’t move in completely.
As it was reported that the next morning the family members visited the new rental house and found the window broken. Subsequently, they found out that all the gold ornaments and cash around Rs. 3500 were also missing from the almirah.
Immediately the tenant of the house reported the matter to the Pahargaon Police Station, after which a theft case was registered. On the complaint, the SHO Pahargaon formed a Police team and started the investigation.
After a detailed investigation later on the same day the Police team arrested a man namely Kabir Ali, r/o Prem Nagar and a permanent resident of North 24-Parganas, West Bengal as prime accused in this case and recovered stolen items and cash.
