Port Blair, Aug 23: Mr. Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member BJP & Former State President, BJP-ANI requested the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration for an extension of time to submit the filled-in applications for participating in the recruitment process.
In his letter he pointed out the following for positive consideration: He mentioned that pandemic situation, the recruitment process of various pending vacant civil posts was not undertaken and recently the same has been published by the Administration and a large number of eligible aspiring candidates would file applications offering their respective candidatures.
In the vacancy notice published by the A&N Administration under the caption “Process of Certification and Format of Certificate”, it is mentioned that “Certificates for the status of Creamy Layer issued between 03.09.2019 to 02.09.2022 only will be accepted.
It is a matter of fact & of record that there are thousands of aspiring candidates who have obtained the aforementioned status certificates prior to the period as indicated in the said vacancy notice and if the certificates issued prior to that period are not considered, then the same would overburden the candidates as well as the staffs of the administration.
Further, he mentioned that, if it is absolutely necessary to contain the period of those certificates, then it would be very much required to extend the last date of acceptance of duly filled in applications, as it is impossible to process & obtain those status certificates within a such short period of time and submit the same.
Moreover, the staff and infrastructure presently available with the Administration would be required to be increased so as to extend the validity of the status certificates as well as to accept the filled-in applications.
Considering the facts and circumstances as contemplated herein above, he suggested that, either accept the Creamy Layer status certificates issued prior to 03.09.2019. or extend the time frame for accepting the duly filled in applications together with the aforementioned certificates and simultaneously increase the staff and infrastructure for processing and accepting the applications.
