Port Blair, Dec 03: The inaugural function of 10 days long Artist Camp and Exhibition being organized by the Directorate of Art & Culture, A&N Administration from 3rd to 12th December 2012 in collaboration with Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre, GoI, was held today at the Andaman Club, Port Blair .While inaugurating the camp, Shri Lucas Robert , Director (Sports ,Art and Culture) appreciated the island’s artists for their commendable creative works in the past and expressed hope that in the similar way this camp would also be a great success.
During the camp, the participants shall make paintings on the themes ‘Freedom Movement’ and ‘heritage’ .Officials of Directorate of Education, Directorate of IP &T and Directorate of AH &VS who are known artist of the islands are taking part in the camp. These paintings will be displayed in an exhibition during 12th -14th December 2012 in Andaman Club.
