Port Blair, Jul 20: R Kashthuri Bhai a Class 8th student of Govt. Demonstration Multipurpose School (GDMS) Middle Point, Port Blair has shined in the 36th National Junior Girls (Under-19) Chess Championships2022 held at Pune, Maharashtra from 12th July to 20th July 2022.
She played brilliantly against all the higher-rated opponents and scored 07 points with six wins and two draws out of 11 Rounds and secured 13th Position in the Final Ranking. She has been awarded a cash prize of Rs 8000/- in the Championship.
More than 80 players across India participated in the prestigious championship in which the top 20 players were awarded a cash prize.
