Port Blair, July 18: The South Andaman District being the nodal department to conduct the National Functions, has kick-started the preparations for the Independence Day celebrations 2022. In this connection, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Deputy Commissioner (SA) on 18th July 2022 in the conference hall of the District Office.
The meeting was attended by officials of Andaman and Nicobar Command, A&N Police, Health Services, APWD, Electricity, Education, Transport, Agriculture, PMB, Shipping Services, PBMC, Fire Services andDoordarshan.
The DC(SA) requested all departments to gear up for the Independence Day celebrations and directions were given to make all preparatory arrangements to make the event marking the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav a grand success.
