Port Blair, Jul 13: Andaman Moplah Service Organisation has requested the Director General of Police, A&N Police to conduct a high-level inquiry and register an FIR against the alleged culprits who had vandalized the commercial outlet of an individual in Diglipur.
Mr. Abdul Siddique, General Secretary, AMSO alleged that a group of individuals of the region held a widespread protest in the area and vandalized the commercial establishment of a private individual creating a huge loss to the incumbent worth more than one crore.
He also alleged that the vandalism and protest are said to have made over the issue of cow slaughter in the region. He alleged that the cow slaughter was carried out by another group of people but to shade the event on a communal line, the protestors have conducted widespread vandalism in the region targeting one particular group.
Therefore, Mr. Abdul Siddique, General Secretary, AMSO requested the DGP, A&N Police to take cognizance of the matter and order a high-level inquiry and register an FIR in this regard. He also demanded a robust action against the protestors.
