Port Blair, July 07: The staffs of Wildlife Division of Forest Department today captured a 3.9 metres long crocodile from Hubdipur Balu Ghat Nallah of South Andaman.
Earlier, the crocodile was sighted by villagers in Hubdipur Balu Ghat Nallah of Tushnabad Village.
Last friday the crocodile allegedly attacked a cow in which the cow luckily managed to escape but the cow lost a leg.
Later after the report, a team of the Forest Department installed a cage and nets in the nallah to catch the crocodile for this safe relocation.
As per report today morning villagers, spotted a 3.90 metres long crocodile trapped in the cage. Soon information was passed to the Forest Department.
The crocodile was later shifted to Biological Park, Chidiyatapu as per the direction of Divisional Forest Officer, South Andaman for its further care.
