Port Blair, June 09: In a tragic road accident today a private truck fell into a pit and hit a tree. As per initial details the impact was so powerful that the driver got crushed and reportedly died on the spot. The accident took place between Kishori Nagar and Kalara Junction.
Sources said that the accident took place due to a steering lock. It took several hours for the Police Station Kalighat to remove the body of the driver. However, staffs of PS Kalighat refused to give any details about this accident when contacted to cross check.
