Port Blair, May 31: District Child Protection Unit (SA) in collaboration with Science Centre took the initiative to provide a platform for the children of Child Care Institutions to participate in the One Month Summer Holiday Camp at Science Centre.
Around 20 children from various Child Care Institutions actively participated in Eight Trades such as Aero Modeling, Creative Science, Fun Chemistry, Astronomy, Robotic Science, Model Rocketry, Electronic Model and Fun Biology. With this venture children of Child Care Institutions were able to participate in all the trades and received prizes and appreciation on 30th May 2022 during the valedictory function.
This opportunity has added confidence and interest in learning and exploring science creatively. During the camp, children were also provided exposure to INS UTKROSH, Biological Park Chidiyatapu, Industrial Training Institute Dollygunj and Meteorological Department.
National Science Day, International Museum Day and International Day for Biological Diversity were also observed.
The District Administration looks forward to promoting children of Child Care Institutions to participate in such informative programs so as to educate and build up confidence among the children.
