Port Blair, May 09: The Directorate of Industries jointly with the A&N Islands Khadi & Village Industries Board and DIC is planning to organize a State Level Workshop on PMEGP scheme especially to encourage and promote SHGs and entrepreneurs on setting up units under manufacturing of handicrafts out of coconut shell, sea shell, wood, cane & bamboo etc on 12th May 2022 (Thursday) at 1000 hrs in the Conference Hall, Industries Department.
The representatives from the participating departments which include Directorate of Rural Development, DC (Handicrafts), MSME-DI, Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Lead Bank Office, State Bank of India will be presenting on the support they are providing for newly budding entrepreneurs towards their self employment venture. As a part of the workshop, an exhibition of local handicrafts, beach wears etc would also be displayed in the conference hall, Industries Department to motivate the SHGs / participants towards such activities.
All interested SHGs and individuals intending to setup self employment venture availing financial assistance through Govt. sponsored schemes are hereby requested to attend the programme as per the venue, date and time specified.
