DG sets were installed through hiring at two remote villages in North Andaman namely “Sagar Deep” and “Gandhi Nagar”, and the residents of these villages can now enjoy round the clock power supply. Earlier, only limited hours power supply was available through small DG sets in these villages.
At Gandhi Nagar two number 82.5 KVA containerized DG sels were commissioned on 07.11.2012. 36 consumers could now enjoy round the clock power supply in place of 5 Hrs. power supply available earlier through a small community power house. Providing round the clock power supply to 56 more house holds in this village is under process.
Similarly at Smith Island i.e. Sagar Deep two numbers 82.5 KVA containerized DG sets were commissioned on 07.11.2012., enabling 65 consumers to enjoy round the clock power supply in place of 12 Hrs. power supply available earlier through a small DG power house. Providing round the clock power supply to 36 more house holds in this village is under process.
