Port Blair, Apr 14: A community interaction programme by the Indian Coast Guard organized at Gram Panchayat,Ramnagar on 14th April 2022.
Mr. Saksham Grover, Asst. Comdt.; Mr. Narayan Ch. Baroi, Field Assistant, Fisheries Dept. and Mrs. Sumangala from Kalighat Police Station also interacted with the general public and PRIs.
The Coast Guard team presented uses of various safety equipment like a life jacket and fire extinguisher for the fisherman community. The Asst. Comdt. appealed to the fisher community to cooperate to protect the border security at the coastal zone and to inform any emergency /suspect if found over 1554 number.
Mr. Mitun Das, Pradhan, GP Ramnagar conveyed his gratitude by giving a photo frame to the Coast Guard team for organizing such an awareness and interaction programme in the village and for their Guidance.
