Port Blair, Apr 13: It has become a common issue that the Islanders are facing regular Power/Electricity Outages for the last 3 months throughout the day. There are always considerable excuses given by the powerhouses for these power outages on a daily basis.
Every day for prolonged hours the power cuts makes it difficult to carry out daily activities and causes unrest.
Even at midnight power cuts have become a regular issue when the country is claiming to have electricity in the remotest of the village, it seems we Islanders are being taken for granted. The general public is not acquiring any proper explanation for the outages from the Electricity Department. The Islanders are demanding a permanent solution for the power outage in Port Blair city.
