Port Blair, Apr 12: Shree Ram NavamiMahotsav was grandly celebrated all over the A&N Islands by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), A&N Islands in six different places namely at Port Blair, Shaheed Dweep, Mayabunder, Diglipur, Hutbay and Campbell Bay including Ram Yatra (Bike Rally) carried out by the devotees.
VHP organized a mass programme at ITF Ground, VIP Road, Port Blair. The program started with Ram Yatra (Bike Rally) at 3.00 pm from ITF Ground led by the Bajrang Dal. The rally was flagged off by Mr. Ambarish Singh, Kendriya SahMantri, VHP.
Around 8000 devotees participated in the rally covering the entire town and culminated in ITF Ground followed by cultural events. Swami ShuddhanandaSaraswati of Chinamaya Mission, Port Blair blessed the occasion with his Ashirvachan and Mr. Ambarish Singh addressed the gathering with a fiery speech igniting the spiritual awakening of the devotees.
Devotees arrived at the venue in large groups from different parts of South Andaman with Tableau of Shree Ram. The entire Port Blair town including ITF Ground was saffronized by the Ram devotees. The function concluded with the distribution of Bhog/Prasad to all devotees and the public.
