Port Blair, Apr 12: Mr. Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member BJP, Former State President BJP-ANI and Member of Home Ministry Advisory Committee, GoI met Mr. Anurag Singh Thakur, Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting and Youth Affairs & Sports, GoIat his residence on 12th April 2022. He demanded to build an international standard Cricket playground for Andaman and Nicobar Islands with coaching facilities.
He also demanded building a turf ground in Andaman & Nicobar for hockey players, due to the non-availability of turf ground players are forced to go to the mainland for further practice to participate in the National Level Hockey Championship.
The Union Minister gave a patient hearing and assured that all steps would be taken to fulfill the demands for the development of the Islands and the welfare of Islanders.
