Port Blair, Apr 04: Mr. N. Peddi Raju, State President, Andaman and Nicobar Vidyut Shramik Sangh (ANVSS) requested the Chief Secretary of A&N Administration to grant financial authority to Mrs. Rizwana, EE (SA & ND), Electricity Department for clearing all financial works which are pending since one month.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary of the A&N Administration, Mr. Raju mentioned that the sanction of GPF, Medical Advances bills and Grant of leave to the employees of the Electricity Department are kept pending for the last one month due to the non-availability of regular Superintending Engineer Mrs. Rizwana, Executive Engineer (SA & ND).
He mentioned that due to the unavailability of financial officers the staff of the Electricity Department is suffering a lot and their GPF Withdrawal, Medical claim bills, and advances are not sanctioned. The sanction of Earned Leave/medical leave is also pending due to which the employees are not able to plan their travel to the mainland for getting treatment.
He requested to grant financial powers to Mrs. Rizwana, EE (SA & ND), Superintending Engineer in the Electricity Department, or an alternate solution be initiated at the earliest in the benevolent ground.
