
Port Blair, Apr 03: The CPI (M) has observed Protest Day on 02nd April 2022 at Port Blair to protest against the increasing prices of petrol, diesel and LPG in the country. A protest demonstration was organized by the CPI (M) near Tiranga Park, Aberdeen Bazar, Port Blair.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. D. Ayyappan, Secretary, CPI (M) A&N State Organising Committee criticized the central government for the increase in the prices of petrol and diesel on daily basis. He said that along with this, prices of LPG and other petroleum products are also hiked.
He said that this increase is an additional burden on the people who are already suffering from the galloping price rise of all essential commodities in the country. He said that the CPI (M) will continue to fight on people’s issues.
Mr. B. Chandachoodan, State Secretariat Member said that the Modi government is continuing anti-people policies ever since it came to power in 2014.
Mr. D. Laxman Rao, State Secretariat Member blamed the BJP government and A&N Administration for the hardship faced by the Islanders. Mr. TS Sreekumar, State Organising Committee Member also spoke on the occasion.
