The students, who are willing to apply for B.Ed and B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic), are advised to check their eligibility by visiting IGNOU website. The District Administration in a special drive to administer oath of office to the newly elected Pradhans, members and elected Up-Pradhans in respect of Manarghat, Kanyapuram, Shoalbay, Wimberlygunj and Stewartgunj Gram Panchayats had convened a special meeting today on 25/03/2022 in their respective Panchayat Halls.
The oath of office was administered by Shri Dilkhush Meena, IAS, Assistant Commissioner, South Andaman and Miss Yashaswini.B , IAS, Assistant Commissioner (U/T).
In Manarghat, Shoalbay and Stewartgunj Gram Panchayats after administering oath of allegiance to Pradhan and Members, Shri. A.P.Naufal of INC, Shri. Palraj of ANDC and Shri. P. Samsuddin of INC respectively have been declared elected unopposed to the office of the Up-Pradhan wherein no other members filed the nominations.
Whereas in Kanyapuram and Wimberlygunj Gram Panchayat after administering oath of allegiance to Pradhan and Members, an election was conducted to the office of Up-Pradhan in which Smti. K. Saira Banu of INC was elected to the post of Up-Pradhan by a margin of 01 vote against Shri. P. Mohammed Ali of INC and Shri. K. Abdul Rahiman of ANJP was elected to the post of Up-Pradhan by a margin of 2 votes against Shri. P. Mohammed Iqbal respectively.
The Assistant Commissioner, S/A congratulated all the Member, Up-Pradhan and Pradhan and requested the newly elected body to work with their full potential for the betterment of their respective Panchayats.
