Port Blair, Mar 20: A staff of the Forest Department died due to an internal head injury after a tree branch fell on his head during cutting off dangerous trees in the Kadamtala region today evening.
The incident took place at around 06:30 PM where the work of cutting dangerous trees by forest department was under process, the deceased was a permanent staff of Forest Department, who was standing by the tree and unfortunately, the branch of a tree fell on him due to which he fell and lost consciousness, it is learnt.
Immediately he was rushed to the nearby Kadamtala Hospital where he went under treatment and after a few hours, the doctor declared him dead.
