Port Blair, Mar 02: Mrs. Sampa Banerjee, State President, BJP MahilaMorcha on 02nd March 2022 met four families of Medical and Engineering students from A&N Islands stuck in Ukraine. She also met one student and his family who returned safely to Andaman.
After Russia ordered a military operation in Ukraine on February 24, the conflict in the war-torn country was exacerbated. Ukraine closed its airspace and many Indians stranded there could not get a flight back home.
Despite the efforts of the Indian Government to bring back its nationals from the war-torn country, many Indians are still stranded in Ukraine.
