Port Blair, Mar 02: Mr. Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member BJP & Former State President BJP, A&N Islands wrote a letter to Mr. S. Jaishankar, Union Minister of External Affairs, GoI regarding evacuating the students hailing from Andaman & Nicobar Islands stuck in Ukraine due to the recent declaration of war by Russia against Ukraine.
In his letter, Mr. Jolly urged that as per the information received, 04 persons are presently struck at Ukraine, out of which 03 are students and one is a relative of one of those students.
He requested to take all possible & necessary steps for evacuating the persons from A&N Islands and bringing them back to their respective homes at the earliest possible time.
State Office bearers of BJP on 2nd March 2022 met the parents of the students/persons and collected the aforementioned inputs from them.
During the meeting, it was informed that the students are struggling for their survival & they are in touch with them through messaging apps, which may get disconnected if the internet is shut down.
