Port Blair, Feb 28: State Control Room, Directorate of Disaster Management, A&N Administration issued a Thunderstorm warning over the Nicobar Islands received from IMD Kolkata.
It is informed that on 28th February 2022, heavy rain (7-11 cm) is likely to occur with thunderstorms and lightning with the gusty wind (30-40kmph) at one or two places over A&N Islands.
On 01st March 2022thunderstorms and lightning with the gusty wind (30-40kmph) is likely to occurat one or two places over A&N Islands.
Due to the likely formation of Low Pressure Area over Southeast Bay of Bengaland wind speed reaching 40-50, Fishermen are advised not to venture into the Andaman Sea and the Southeast Bay of Bengal from 28th February and 01st March 2022. No Port Warning was issued.
