Port Blair, Feb 18:The Member of Parliament of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has expressed gratitude towards the Chief Secretary of Andaman and Nicobar Administration for swift action in completion of survey for 25 fiber boats of Baratang Island by the office of Assistant Commissioner, Rangat.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary the Member of Parliament today said that he has been informed by the boat operators of Baratang Island that today officials of the Assistant Commissioner Office, Rangat visited Baratang Island and completed the survey process of 25 fiber boats, which was pending for a long time.
He mentioned that such swift action will not only provide huge relief for 25 boat owners but also generate employment for nearly 50 to 75 other youths.
The Member of Parliament added that the Boat Operators of Baratang Islands have also expressed their gratitude towards the Chief Secretary and the entire team of North and Middle Andaman District Administration.
He added that he is fully confident that under the command of the Chief Secretary, now that all necessary formalities are over for these 25 fiber boats, the final permission for operation of these 25 boats will be issued by the Deputy Commissioner office, North and Middle Andaman at the earliest.
