Port Blair, Feb 18: CPR. Environmental Education Centre, in collaboration with WIPRO Foundation, has taken up a Sustainability Education Programme (Earthian) in South India.
The programme involved innovative project submissions on the sustainability of water, biodiversity and waste management by the team of students guided by a teacher.
School teachers were oriented through virtual workshops, interactions, thematic value additions and supportive online interactions for the project teams.
CPREEC received 50 projects from the schools of A&N Islands. The competent regional evaluation committee shortlisted 15 projects and it was forwarded to Wipro Earthian National Jury.
Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Diglipur, North Andaman received a National shortlisted position. All 15 projects were declared as State Level winners.
The Schools are GSSS Diglipur, Navy Children School Minnie Bay, Kamaraj English Medium School Brookshabad, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Lamba Line, Carmel School Port Blair, GMSSS Hut Bay, Ummat Public School Austinabad, Sagritara School Prem Nagar, GSS Gandhinagar, GSSS Swaraj Dweep and GSS Madhupur.
Dr. Nanditha Krishna, Member Secretary, CPREEC, Chennai conferred the virtual award function on 15th February 2022.
