Port Blair, Feb 14: The office of the Director Panchayat and Municipal Elections on 14th February 2022 conducted a Randomization Process to classify officials on Polling Duty as Presiding Officers, Polling Officers-1, 2 & 3, and Polling Assistant in the interest of free and fair elections as well as the formation of unbiased Polling Parties.
Mr. Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Director, Panchayat and Municipal Elections was present to oversee the process of randomization using the software developed by SOVTECH/DBRAIT.
An approximate total of 4280 Government employees will be selected for polling duties in 800 polling booths will be selected over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Order of First Randomization was served to all the polling staff for attending the first training programme scheduled for next week.
In the Second Randomization, the team of polling personnel will be constituted and in final randomization, constituencies and polling booths will be allocated to the polling staff.
