Port Blair, Feb 11: The Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee (ANTCC) today officially released the list, containing names of candidates, who have been given party tickets for the ensuing general election to the Port Blair Municipal Council- 2022.
After the alliance with DMK, Ward No. 1, 6, 9, 15 and 21 of PBMC were already given to DMK candidates and hence today the list for the rest 19 wards was released by the party.
As per details Eswar Rao was given a ticket for Ward Number 02, Ramzan Ali for Ward Number 3, Abdul Islam for Ward Number 4, A. Shanmugam for Ward Number 5, Amar Devi for Ward Number 7, Laxmi Ganeshan for Ward Number 8, T. Mangayakarasai for Ward Number 10, Sanjeev Reddy for Ward Number 11, M. Vasanta for Ward Number 12, Sudeep Rai Sharma for Ward Number 13, Y. Joga Rao for Ward Number 14, P.B Murugan for Ward Number 16, Daljeet Kaur for Ward Number 17, Sahadevan for Ward Number 18, Vetri Velu for Ward Number 19, Rafat Jan for Ward Number 20, T. Jayapaal for Ward Number 22, Seena Meshack for Ward Number 23 and A. Neelawathi for Ward Number 24.
Earlier yesterday BJP’s Andaman and Nicobar State unit had released a list of candidates for 24 wards of Port Blair Municipal Council.
As per Election Commissioner, A & N Islands, the Municipal and Panchayat elections in Andaman and Nicobar Islands will be held on 6th March 2022 (Sunday) and the results will be declared on 8th March 2022 (Tuesday).
As per details, the polling date for the Municipal and Panchayat elections is 6th March 2022, while the last date for making nominations was 11th Feb 2022 (Friday).
The date for scrutiny of nominations is 12th Feb 2022, while the last date for withdrawal of candidatures is 14th Feb 2022. The date of counting of votes will be on 8th March 2022(Tuesday).
