Port Blair, Feb 07: A joint delegation of various associations viz. Andaman Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Grain Dealers Association, Hoteliers Association A&N Islands, Andaman Association of Tour Operators, Ship Owners Association, Youth Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Boat Owners Association, Andaman Bar Owner Association, FOATO and Laghu Udyog Bharati, met Mr. Satya Kumar, National Secretary, Bharatiya Janta Party on 6th February at Hotel Divyum Manor, Port Blair and explained the difficulties being faced by all the stakeholders of the Tourism Industry due to the sudden closure of all tourist places.
Mr. Satya Kumar understood the difficulties faced by all tourism stakeholders. He also expressed that, since tourism is the core industry of these Islands and the main source of income for the Islanders, all the tourist places should be opened immediately, he also assured that he will take up the matter with the A & N Administration immediately and ensure that all the tourist places are reopened so that the tourism stakeholders can earn their livelihood.
The Delegation expressed their sincere gratitude towards Mr. Satya Kumar for meeting the delegation amidst his busy schedule.
