Port Blair, Feb 07: The Telugu Desam Party today declared that due to some political issues, seats offered for an alliance by ANTCC is not agreeable to Telugu Desam Party of A&N Islands for Municipal and Panchayat elections.
The Telugu Desam Party of Andaman & Nicobar Islands has now decided to contest the coming elections for local Gram Panchayats, Zila Parishads & Port Blair Municipal Council (PBMC) in Andaman & Nicobar Islands without an alliance with Indian National Congress. Earlier on February 02, 2022 the ANTCC had declared alliance with the Telugu Desam Party in Andaman and Nicobar Islands to contest the ensuing Municipal & Panchayat polls. It was then agreed that TDP will contest from Ward no. 2, 5 and 16 in PBMC election.
