Mayabunder, Nov 19: Acting on the demands of PRI members of Mayabunder and reports published by Andaman Sheekha the Deputy Commissioner of North and Middle Andaman has ordered the Village Level Worker (VLW) of Phokadera Panchayat to take the charges of Panchayat Secretary of Mayabunder Panchayat. Though nobody was ready to comment on the record but sources told Andaman Sheekha that the Panchayat Secretary will soon be sent to other Islands, for whom the functioning of Mayabunder Panchayat hampered for a long time.
“I met the DC today and highlighted the problem infront of him. I have not received the order till now but yes VLW of Phokadera will take over the charges of PS of Mayabunder Panchayat,” Mr. C H Raja Rao, the Pradhan of Mayabunder Panchayat told Andaman Sheekha today.
