
Port Blair, Feb 06: Bharatiya Janata Party, A&N Islands on 5th February 2022, organized a press conference at BJP Bhavan, Middle Point, Port Blair which was addressed by Mr. John Barla, Minister of State, Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt. of India.
Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, A&N Islands and Mr. R Devdas, State Executive Member, BJP, A&N Islands was also present during the press conference.
The Minister expressed his happiness on visiting Andaman and Nicobar Islands and spoke to the scribes on the Union Budget 2022-2023 in length.
The Minister spoke about various aspects of the budget and informed that this budget lays the foundation of development in India for the next 25 years. The Minister praised Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi and the Finance Minister Mrs. Nirmala Sitaraman and explained that the focus of the budget is to make India self-reliant.
He explained that the budget is people-friendly and will ensure development for all in India.
The Minister further highlighted many schemes of the Ministry of Minority Affairs and urged the media to spread awareness about the various Central Govt. Schemes so that people can take full advantage.
He added that there is various Central Govt. Schemes that are sponsored by various Ministries but people are unable to take advantage of these schemes because of a lack of awareness.
The Minister also urged the party functionaries to work towards spreading awareness about various Central Govt. Schemes and how people can avail and take advantage of such schemes.
The Minister further added that he and the entire Central Govt. under the leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi is committed to the development of Andaman and Nicobar Islands and informed that his Ministry can bring in a lot of development in the Islands with the support of the Minority Community residing here.
He further informed that he has meetings scheduled with the Minority Community later in the day and he would discuss the schemes available and the path through which development can be brought in the Islands with the members of the minority community.
Several Journalists posed questions to the Minister and the Minister answered them all and assured the scribes that the Central Govt. is focused on the development of the Islands and all efforts will be made to improve the lives of the Islanders.
