Port Blair, Feb 04: Hundreds of Auto Rickshaw Drivers continued their strike on the second day today to protest against alleged harassment by authorities.
It is learnt that the indefinite strike will be continued till their demands are fulfilled. Today the Auto Rickshaw Drivers continued their protest from 07:00 AM in the morning which continued till 10:00 PM in various places such as Aberdeen Bazar, Bambooflat, Tushnabad, Burmanalla, Wandoor, and all auto stands of South Andaman.
Mr. Santosh, General Secretary of Auto Union told Andaman Sheekha Daily that some other vehicle unions will join them in the strike by this afternoon.
He alleged that if no positive response is received from Administration then the protest will intensify. He also said that if their demands are not fulfilled then they will go for Chakka Jam.
